Kevin Love might be on his way out with the Cavaliers and the Lakers should be a team trying to trade for the forward

The Cleveland Cavaliers were able to finally get a game back from the Golden State Warriors in the 2016 NBA Finals in Game 3 after two awful games on the road where they were absolutely trounced. However, one thing that was glaring about the Cavaliers in the win was the fact that Kevin Love was out of the lineup after suffering a concussion in Game 2.

Kevin Love’s absence in that game really loomed large in the victory for the Cavaliers. Tristan Thompson was big for Cleveland on the interior and they simply looked like a much better team than in the two games that Love had been on the floor. As such, speculation has again been fueled about the possibility of Love being traded out of Cleveland this offseason.

Though there is no way of knowing what’s actually going on in the Cleveland front office, what we can say is that the Lakers should undoubtedly make a push to try and trade for Kevin Love even if he’s remotely available.

Obviously the Lakers are going to be in the market to make big moves this summer with the No. 2 NBA Draft, a ton of cap room to operate in free agency, and so on. However, Love might be the best player that they could potentially make a play for if they can piece together a trade for him and that could be the play.

Clearly there are going to be a plethora of opinions regarding Love considering his rollercoaster of emotions with the Cavaliers, but here are five reasons as to why the Lakers should pursue a trade for Kevin Love.
