Lakers’ fans were more than happy with the selection of Brandon Ingram at second overall
Prior to the draft, the Lakers let it be known that Brandon Ingram was likely to be the guy they selected with the second overall pick, barring any blockbuster trades.
However, with rumors of the D’Angelo Russell for DeMarcus Cousins or Jimmy Butler for a package of the second overall pick and players floating around, nothing was set in stone until the Commissioner said the magic words.
Now that Ingram is officially the pick of the Los Angeles Lakers we can take a look at how Lakers’ Twitter responded to the pick.

Even the season ticket holders watching at the El Segundo practice facility were hyped on the pick.

Ironically, this same group of ticket holders booed the ESPN analysts when the suggested that the team should trade D’Angelo Russell. So, hopefully this puts an end to the rumors that the Lakers’ faithful don’t want DLoading.

No, Jay. No.
Before draft night, reports had it that the first two picks in the draft were already set and further, that it was the picks afterwards that fans had to worry about. Seeing what is currently happening, that is exactly the case.
