Jordan Clarkson wasn’t the only Lakers’ player who didn’t have anything to say about the recent Kevin Durant to the Golden State Warriors’ news
Upon hearing the breaking news that Kevin Durant had agreed to sign with the Golden State Warriors for two years, $54 million, many of the young Lakers’ players took to Twitter to voice their opinion on the topic.
First, there was Larry Nance Jr. discussing how he thinks Russell Westbrook is going to dominate next season, followed by D’Angelo Russell continuing the trend that other NBA players started, talking about NBA 2K.
However, alongside Julius Randle, junior Jordan Clarkson didn’t have anything to say about the signing, instead posting a black and white photo of him and Randle on Instagram with the caption “Happy Fourth” followed by some emojis.

Clarkson has been working hard in the gym to get better and while you know he’s heard the news, his decision to stay quiet on the topic is telling. Again, similar to Randle, he likely sees and hears everything, but he seems to prefer that his actions do the talking.
Even after signing his $50 million contract with the Lakers on Sunday he was reportedly in the gym for an AM workout immediately after. For Clarkson, the grind never stops and Lakers’ fans shouldn’t take that for granted.
Unless Kevin Durant pulls a DeAndre Jordan on the Warriors, the title race looks relatively locked up for the foreseeable future, so the Lakers are in a perfect spot to be patient and rebuild until the eventual collapse of that empire.

Many are disappointed and even down right frustrated at the Lakers’ lack of success in free agency but this is the brightest the future has been in recent years and that has to count for something.
