Lakers: Snoop Dogg’s Lakers’ Themed Retirement Present to Kobe Bryant
By Eric Yee
Rapper, Snoop Dogg stayed true to his LA roots gifting Lakers’ legend, Kobe Bryant an epic present in retirement
Last seen at Kobe Bryant’s final game Snapchatting the entire event, Long Beach native, Snoop Dogg did his best to pay homage to the retired star by gifting him an epic Lakers’ themed, purple and gold lowrider.
Bean received a multitude of gifts during his drawn out Farewell Tour, from a piece of the parquet floor from the Boston Celtics to custom skiis from the Utah Jazz. He also did fair share of giving, handing out signed shoes to LeBron James, Draymond Green, Kevin Durant and others like candy.
But it wasn’t until now, almost three months since he laced them up for the last time, that he literally received his biggest gift (Jeanie Buss did give him and his wife rings likely worth hundreds of thousands of dollars) from Snoop D-O double G.

Judging by the pictures, it looks like the rapper gave Kobe a ’64 Impala, only kidding I have no clue what kind of car that is, decked out in purple and gold finished off with a custom painted hood that includes the likes of Kobe, Magic Johnson and even Snoop Dogg in Lakers’ jersey.
Personally, and others can attest to this, I can’t see Kobe ever driving this around the streets of Los Angeles except for when he initially drove it away from Snoop, but as they say, it’s the thought that counts.
It’s been odd seeing Snoop Dogg throw out pitches for a variety of baseball teams other than the LA Dodgers this year, even throwing one out for the San Diego Padres, but it’s nice to see that he hasn’t turned his back on his Los Angeles Lakers.
