Quickly becoming a fan favorite among Lakers fans everywhere, Nance Jr explained that he believes it’s his humble, hard working demeanor that really appeals to the masses. Revealing that he still drives around his 2004 Chevy Tahoe, even while his teammates are driving multiple cars, Nance gives all the credit to his parents for “instilling those values” in him.
In regards to his recent injury at Las Vegas Summer League, he had some good news for fans, saying that while it was originally diagnosed as a break, he actually just had a severe sprain but looks to return to action as soon as next week.
This is surprising considering how long hands and wrists normally take to heal, as well as how much of summer is left over, but obviously the Lakers’ training staff knows which route is best to take.
When asked about what his “coming out game” was, Nance said that it was actually fairly early, in the preseason game against the Golden State Warriors in San Diego where he absolutely destroyed Festus Ezeli.
Further, while he’s happy for his home state of Ohio that they finally won a ring, he said they’re basically going to have to enjoy that one ring while the Lakers get their ring total up to “20 or 25.”
