Lakers: Larry Nance Jr. Is Going to Posterize Someone in 2016-17
Second-year Lakers forward Larry Nance Jr. thinks it’s silly to even ask him if he’s going to dunk on anyone in the 2016-17 season
Whether you’re a fan of the Los Angeles Lakers or not, it seems impossible to dislike second-year forward Larry Nance Jr. The springy forward does everything that’s endearing on a basketball court every time out. Moreover, he now figures to be an integral part of the young core in LA moving forward.
Perhaps the most electrifying or exciting thing that Nance Jr. brings to the table, though, is something he definitely got from his pops. Nance can absolutely fly. The Wyoming product has proven to be one of the best and most underrated high-flyers in the game today.
On numerous occasions last year, Nance showed off his hops with huge posterizing dunks. Festus Ezeli learned about Nance in the preseason. Meanwhile it took Al Horford and others a bit longer to figure out that Nance will end you with a dunk.
So when the Lakers forward was asked this week by a fan on Twitter if he was going to be posterizing anyone in the 2016-17 season, Nance had the perfect response:

That’s a man just saying what every fan is out here thinking. Of course Larry Nance Jr. is going to put opponents on a poster. That’s like you or me inhaling and exhaling.
Obviously you love to see the confidence of the young Lakers forward as he knows what he’s capable of. Nance responding like that isn’t just entertaining. The culture being established also looks favorable when you see this from players.
Ideally, these young players should have a sort of subdued confidence about them. You want Nance, D’Angelo Russell, Jordan Clarkson, and so on to avoid arrogance while remaining confident. Nance responding in this manner indicates that at least he is in that frame of mind. If that rubs off on his teammates, that’s even more promising moving forward.
