On day three of training camp, the Los Angeles Lakers carried on the age old tradition of hazing their rookies by making each youngster perform a song in front of a Santa Barbara crowd

Unlike the first two days of training camp, Thursday the Lakers scrimmaged in front of a crowd after finishing their practice earlier in the day.

That said, though the fans came to watch some basketball, they were treated with a surprise hazing of the rookies — Ivica Zubac, Zach Auguste, Brandon Ingram and Julian Jacobs — who were forced to perform a song in front of the crowd.

Of the four performers, second overall pick Brandon Ingram was definitely the one who embraced it the most, even dressing up in what looks like an adult poodle Halloween costume.

According to Lakers Nation reporter, Serena Winters, the rookies performed songs by Vanessa Carlton, Katy Perry and of course, Beyonce.

Quickly watching Jordan Clarkson‘s snapchat story, you can’t make out what song Ingram is performing, but he sure does look to be giving it his all. That said, if he’s willing to do this to fulfill his rookie hazing duties, just imagine how hard he’s working to get better as a basketball player.

In just the first three days of training camp, the Purple and Gold look to be having more fun than they had their entire tenure under Byron Scott and that speaks volumes to how Luke Walton is conducting his practices.

The chemistry being built over the course of this camp will prove to be an invaluable asset this season, we only wish we were there to witness it first hand!
