D’Angelo Russell Drops Stephen Curry with Crossover (Video)

The Los Angeles Lakers recently took on the Golden State Warriors for the second straight preseason game and D’Angelo Russell provided a bit of fireworks against the reigning MVP

Wednesday night’s game against the defending champion Warriors was much more competitive for the Lakers through the first half, though it must be mentioned that the Dubs did jump out to another quick double digit lead.

However, as is normally the case with preseason games, fans are often more interested in specific plays rather than the outcome of the game and said play was provided by D’Angelo Russell as he put Stephen Curry on his backside with a crossover… and a nudge.

More from Lakers News

Upon being posted, fans from both sides were quick to jump out of the wood works and defend their guys.

Warriors/Stephen Curry fans made it known that Steph obviously tripped over Julius Randle’s foot or was pushed off by Russell.

Lakers/D’Angelo fans responded with “Haters with say it was a push,” “What the media won’t show you,” and sarcastic comments of “When people say Stephen Curry plays defense.”

Take a look at the two angles and you be the judge.

I could see it either way but I’ll also play Devil’s Advocate and include this as well.

It happens.

Steph got some revenge of his own in the second half throwing back to back behind-the-back passes subsequently finishing with a Kevin Durant dunk and a wide open Klay Thompson splash… in the span of 30 seconds.

Ironically, there were a multitude of highlight plays but this one will definitely top them all on SportsCenter.
