Following an embarrassing 149-106 loss to the Golden State Warriors, the Los Angeles Lakers will head back home to Los Angeles to try and protect home court.
For those of you that watched all four quarters of the Lakers game against the Warriors, I salute you. While the Lakers were missing a few key players Wednesday night, that doesn’t excuse the fact that they gave up nearly 150 points in a game. The defense was nonexistent.
But hey, Brandon Ingram scored a career-high 16 points!
Like head coach Luke Walton said, this is just one of those games the team can forget about. Players were missing, the defense was a mess and Metta World Peace was making threes. They know why they lost and they’ll have chance to respond tonight in Los Angeles.

Prediction
Don’t bank on tacos at STAPLES Center tonight, as both of these teams like to score in bunches. Especially the Warriors; they like to score a lot.
If there was going to be a team that put up almost 150 points in a game this season, it was going to be the Golden State Warriors. Them, or Kevin Love if he played all 48 minutes against the Portland Trailblazers.
Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson combined for 85 points against the Purple and Gold at Oracle Arena Wednesday night. Even Ian Clark joined the fun, pouring on 21 points on 7-for-8 shooting.
As a team, the Warriors shot a blazing 61.6 percent from the field, compared to the Lakers 43 percent from the field. So yeah, they’re kind of good at shooting the basketball.
The Lakers will face the Warriors shorthanded again tonight, with three of Walton’s starters out with injuries. Walton experimented with a new lineup Wednesday night, and he’s going to have to experiment once again tonight.
However, considering their competition. it doesn’t matter who suits up for the Purple and Gold tonight. Golden State is only getting scarier with each game and the 20-point loss they suffered to the Lakers is still fresh in their minds.
Expect another long night, Los Angeles.
