Jose Calderon will miss 2-4 weeks with a right hamstring strain, the team announced Monday, adding to the laundry list of already injured Lakers.
Lakers fans are all to familiar with how detrimental injuries can be to a team’s momentum. Late into the infamous 2012-13 season, the Lake Show finally looked like they were on the right track. Dwight Howard looked the healthiest he had looked all season, Pau Gasol was back to his productive self and Kobe Bryant looked like, well Kobe Bryant.
But as the story goes, Kobe overworked himself to put his team in the playoffs and ruptured his achilles. LA was swept 4-0 by the Spurs in the first round of the playoffs. Tragic.
Since then, the Lakers have had the worst luck with injuries. This season is no exception, apparently.

The team announced earlier today that guard Jose Calderon will miss 2-4 weeks with an injury to his right hamstring. Calderon has started the last few games with D’Angelo Russell sidelined with an injury of his own.
With Calderon and Russell out, Marcelo Huertas is the only true point guard available on the roster. Head coach Luke Walton is going to have to dip into his beloved bench mob to keep the starting unit competitive until players are back to full health.
Calderon joins Russell, Nick Young, and Larry Nance Jr. on the team’s inactive list.
