The Lakers will look to snap their four-game losing streak at home against an underperforming Phoenix Suns team.

More from Lake Show Life

The flashbacks, they’re starting. Four games in a row? It’s like the Ghost of Byron is floating around Staples Center and no one seems to care!

The Lake Show have struggled to win games recently due to some key players missing. That, and they seemed to have completely forgotten how to play defense. And basketball.

One bright spot in a pretty dark stretch of games, however, has been the Lakers’ No. 2 overall pick Brandon Ingram. Ingram, with each passing game, look more and more comfortable in the NBA. The Purple and Gold are going to need that and more if they want to challenge for the eight seed in the West.

Tonight, they play a struggling Phoenix Suns team. Hopefully, they can get a win and crawl back to .500.

Prediction

Jared Dudley plays for the Suns. Need I say more? In all seriousness, there’s no way the Lakers lose again tonight, right?

Yes, they’re missing their starting backcourt and yes, Phoenix has three really good guards (four if you’re a huge Leandro Barbosa fan), but the baby Lakers have more fight in them than a lowly 6-16 Suns squad.

The key to tonight’s game, and every game for the rest of the season–barring a blockbuster trade–is going to be the bench mob. Luke Walton is probably going to have to dip into his second unit to make the starters competitive, but not to the point where there is a huge fall off.

The Suns also have a kid named Devin Booker who’s pretty good at shooting the basketball. Probably want to keep the ball out of his hands and avoid him from heating up.
