Following a crushing last minute loss to the Portland Trailblazers Thursday night, the Los Angeles Lakers will host the Miami Heat at Staples Center.

How are the Los Angeles Lakers supposed to play a game knowing there are two super teams in the NBA? Seriously? Kyle Korver to the Cavs? He might never miss again.

Despite this, the Lakers will power through and play a game they should win. Miami has on 11 games this season, including a win over the Lake Show at the end of December.

The Heat trailed by as much as 19 the last time the two sides met before they came back to win it 107-115. Hassan Whiteside and Justise Winslow lead the team in scoring with 23 points that night, followed by Goran Dragic who contributed 21 points.

However, tonight it Dragic will have to do some heavy lifting with both Whiteside and Winslow out for tonight’s game. It should be an easy win for Los Angeles, but only time will tell.

Prediction

The Purple and Gold will win tonight. No doubt. 100 percent.

Without Hassan Whiteside and Justise Winslow, the Miami Heat are hardly an NBA basketball team. Goran Dragic is a solid player, but where he fits with the Heat after Dwyane Wade’s departure is unclear.

It’s time for Pat Riley to embrace the rebuilding process and tank super hard. Losing tonight in Los Angeles will only help the future. Please. We need this win.

Also, tacos for the lovely people at Staples would be nice.
