The Los Angeles Lakers held onto their lottery position with a loss to the Washington Wizards, but they still kept it very interesting. Here are the highs and lows from the game.

The Highs

The offense got going in the third: The third quarter was a good one for the Lakers as they scored 37. Their field goal percentage was also crazy high which resulted in the high third quarter point total. This shows the potential of the offense when it really starts clicking.

D’Angelo’s play: D’Angelo played the first 14 minutes of the game and caught fire. Russell went 8/11 in the first half for an astounding 20 points. He cooled off after that and finished with 28 points but he looked a lot more confident running the offense. His passing skills were on full display and he added nine assists.

Nwaba’s defense: Nwaba was signed to a deal because of his defensive skills and he showed them off Tuesday night. Nwaba came up with three steals and did a good job on the glass as well. He finished with eight rebounds.

The Lows

Blown fourth quarter lead: The Lakers were unable to hold onto their 13 point lead and ended up losing 119-108. After outscoring the Wizards by ten in the third, the Lakers got outscored by 18 in the fourth. This showed how bad the Lakers could be at everything.

John Wall’s big night: John Wall is an all star so there’s no shame in letting him go off. That being said, it looked a little too easy for him in the fourth as him and his team came back to win the game. Wall went off in the fourth and finished with 34 points 14 assists and the W.

Turnovers: The team turned the ball over way too much down the stretch to come out with a victory. They finished with 18 turnovers and so many of those came in the fourth where Washington stormed back.
