Recent Los Angeles Lakers rumors are that they are expected to host a workout for Kentucky point guard DeAaron Fox.

As we get closer to the NBA Draft, there have been plenty of Lakers rumors about who they are working out prior to the big day.

Recently, the Lakers just had UCLA point guard Lonzo Ball in for a workout. Many expect Ball to be the second overall pick in the draft. However, that isn’t stopping the Lakers from working out other prospects.

One of the most notable names that have been linked to the Lakers is point guard De’Aaron Fox. While Fox is a point guard like Ball, the two do have different games. According to Mark Medina of insidesocal.com, the Lakers are going to be having Fox in for a workout on June 13th.

"The Lakers plan to host an individual workout for former Kentucky guard De’Aaron Fox on June 13, according to league sources familiar with the situation. After working out last week with the Sacramento Kings, Fox also plans to work out with the Philadelphia 76ers at some point the following weekend (June 16-18)."

Seeing the Lakers holding a workout for Fox will only continue the speculation that they could be interested in alternative options to Ball. As another great player, Fox could be on the radar for the Lakers.

At Kentucky, Fox averaged 16.7 points, 4.6 assists, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game. Fox was at his best when he was attacking the basket, as there were few teams that could stop him.

However, one of his glaring weaknesses was his ability to shoot from beyond the arc. In his freshman season, Fox shot just 24.6 percent from three-point range. While that is certainly something that could be worked on, it figures to be a hole in his game coming into the NBA.
