The Los Angeles Lakers are set to have another big workout on June 9th with six prospects expected to participate.

The Los Angeles Lakers have been hard at work. They have two selections in the 2017 NBA Draft, as they will be picking second and 28th. With two first round picks, the Lakers will have a lot of homework to do to sift through prospects.

One of the last steps to the draft process is workouts. The workouts for the second overall pick have been dominating headlines. Lonzo Ball’s workout has been a major topic of discussion, and the Lakers are set to work out De’Aaron Fox as well. While the top prospect workouts garner a lot of attention, the workouts for lower rated players are just as important.

If the Lakers want to speed up their rebuild, hitting on the 28th pick would help greatly. They have already had one big workout with a few players under consideration for the 28th pick or as undrafted free agents earlier in the week. They are now set to have another big workout Friday, June 9th.

In this workout, the Lakers will have another six players attending. Unlike the workout Monday, which was made up by mostly second round talents, Friday’s has multiple players with a chance to slide into the discussion as a late first round pick with good workouts.

Friday’s workout will include some March Madness darlings and all-conference players. There should be some great competition at the Lakers facility on Friday. Who will be in action working out? Check out our slideshow breaking down the six players the Lakers are hosting for a workout on June 9th.
