The Los Angeles Lakers and President of Basketball Operations, Magic Johnson, were main characters in the Game of Zones season four finale.
The Los Angeles Lakers have been garnering a lot of headlines in recent weeks despite not being part of the NBA Playoffs. There have been rumors surrounding the team about potential trades. There has also been much discussion about the upcoming 2017 NBA Draft.
The Lakers will be busy on draft night. They own the second and 28th overall picks in the draft. The Lakers will look to push their rebuild forward with both selections, but the second pick is garnering a ton of attention.
With a deep and talented draft class, the Lakers have a chance to land an impact player with the second overall pick. The top two prospects in this year’s class are thought to be Washington point guard, Markelle Fultz, and UCLA point guard, Lonzo Ball.

Fultz is widely expected to go No.1 overall to the Boston Celtics, leaving Ball to the Lakers. There has been widespread speculation about where the Lakers will go with the second pick.
Originally, it was believed to be a lock that Ball would be selected by the Lakers. As we’ve gotten closer to the draft, that tune has changed. While the Lakers may be second thinking selecting Ball, it is no secret where his father, LaVar Ball, wants him to go.
LaVar has repeatedly said that he wants Lonzo to end up with the Lakers. He has found a way to make headlines despite the draft being multiple weeks away and the NBA Playoffs being in full swing. Both topics were touched in the recent episode of Game of Zones.
Game of Zones is a Bleacher Report web series. It is an NBA parody of the hit HBO show, Game of Thrones. In the season four finale, both the Lakers and LaVar Ball made appearances.
The episode is narrated by Magic Johnson, reading it like a bedtime story to some of the young Lakers, such as D’Angelo Russell and Brandon Ingram. The young Lakers want to know how they can become a dynasty, as Johnson explains that you can sign big time free agents and build through the draft.
