Four reasons the Los Angeles Lakers should select Kansas forward Josh Jackson second overall.

The Los Angeles Lakers have a great opportunity to push forward their rebuild in the 2017 NBA Draft. The Lakers are owners of the second overall pick and will have a chance to add a real difference maker to their roster.

Popular opinion has been the Lakers selecting UCLA point guard, Lonzo Ball. Ball has been connected to the Lakers for months, in large part because his father, LaVar Ball, has been saying that is where his son will play. While he doesn’t have much control over that, things have fallen in line and the Ball’s have done their part to make it happen.

What was thought to be a foregone conclusion, may not be the case any longer. Ball to the Lakers seemed like a done deal, but that may no longer be the case. Ball did not blow the Lakers away in his workout, and there were reports that he is not a lock for the pick.

One player who could overtake him is Kansas forward, Josh Jackson. There are rumors floating that Jackson has received a guarantee from someone within the top-three; that team is being reported to ‘likely’ be the Lakers.

If that is indeed true, the Lakers would be landing quite the player. Jackson brings a lot to the table that the team would like. What makes Jackson such an intriguing prospect? Check out our slideshow of the four reasons the Lakers should select Josh Jackson second overall in the 2017 NBA Draft.
