With the NBA Draft just a week away, the Los Angeles Lakers will know who they will be playing in Summer League shortly after.
There has been a lot of news surrounding the Los Angeles Lakers with the NBA Draft being just a week away. The front office has been hard at work trying to figure out what the Lakers will be doing with the second overall pick.
The team has been working out Lonzo Ball, Josh Jackson, and De’Aaron Fox, as those three appears to be the most likely choices for Los Angeles.
Once the draft is completed, the Lakers will be right back at work as the NBA Summer League starts. The Summer League is a great time to see some of the young players an organization has, as rookies and second-year players generally are working together to develop some chemistry early on.
Here is a list of the games for the Lakers:
July 7th vs. Los Angeles Clippers @5:30 P.M. PST
July 8th vs. Boston Celtics @5:30 P.M. PST
July 10th @ Sacramento Kings @7:30 P.M. PST
The rest of the games for the Lakers will be decided after seeing how well they perform in the first three.
Seeing the matchups for the Lakers is certainly exciting. To start the summer league, they will be facing off against the Los Angeles Clippers. Since the Clippers don’t have much young talent on the team, the Lakers should be able to handle them rather easily.
The second game is the one that everyone will have their eyes on. Seeing the Lakers playing the Celtics means that we will get to see the top two picks in the NBA Draft square off. This, of course, could be a matchup between Lonzo Ball and Markelle Fultz.
