Passing Ability

The best skill that Ball will be bringing along with him to the NBA is his passing. Ball is by far the best passing prospect in this year’s draft class as he is the quintessential point guard. His passing skills are at an elite level, which he uses to his advantage as he has an unselfish playing style.

Ball averaged 7.7 assists per game in his freshman year, which led college basketball. In addition to his passing ability, Ball is an excellent ball handler. He works best with the ball in his hands, as he can get creative, especially in the open court.

The court vision that Ball possesses is outstanding, and only improved given his height. Ball is listed at 6-feet-5 inches tall, so he has a height advantage on almost every that will defend him. That enables him to see the court better than shorter players that may get suffocated by bigger, longer opponents.

The rest of the Lakers will be very happy to have Ball running the show. They should get plenty of open looks as he knows where to get his teammates the ball and is a willing passer. He is exactly what the Lakers need in the backcourt.
