Brandon Ingram

Although Ingram displayed the ability to create his own shot late in his rookie season, I still believe this is a better situation for Brandon Ingram. I expect a spike from nine during his rookie year to 17 points per game. According to Lakers Film Room, Ingram’s last 10 games he finished with 14 points while shooting 52 percent from the field.

Now, With a point guard that will instantly push the ball up the court with crisp passing, and playing in a system that emphasizes spacing, this will allow Ingram to get to his spot quickly and get his shot set-up.

Ingram no longer needs to be concerned about playing on the ball with Lonzo’s 6’6″ height as soon as the ball is off the rim his thought process should be: 1.Get Spacing. 2. Find his favorite spot on the floor.

With that being said, this move also gives Ingram a lot of flexibility as he can push the ball himself when necessary. As we witnessed during his rookie year, Ingram’s length and ability to push the ball was one of his best qualities last year. Now, he has the ability to dish out to Lonzo, who, even though isn’t the best off-ball shooter, was still shooting 40% from NBA range 3 pointers. This combination of Ball and Ingram will be exciting to watch next season.
