Los Angeles Lakers: Three goals for Lonzo Ball in his rookie season

Here are three goals for Lonzo Ball that will help him become a better player and win rookie of the year this season for the Los Angeles Lakers.
With the summer league just a couple weeks away, the work is about to begin for the Los Angeles Lakers. So much of their success this season will rely on how the young core develops.
Questions surround this team as summer play begins. Will Brandon Ingram take the next step to becoming a star? Has he put on any significant weight? Is Larry Nance Jr. going to be a productive player in this league? What will Lonzo Ball do during his first season? We will get a glimpse into the improvements these players have made all offseason July 7th when the Lakers take on the LA Clippers in Las Vegas.
It’ll also be the first look we get at Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, Josh Hart, and Thomas Bryant. All draft selections by the Lakers this year. Most of the hype and attention is on Lonzo Ball coming into his rookie season. Ball could very well be the next franchise player that the Lakers desperately need and are hoping for after selecting him 2nd overall.
After averaging 14.6 points, 7.6 assists, and 6.0 rebounds with UCLA, Ball will look to continue this success at the NBA level. Which leads to the question, what should we expect out of Ball in his first season?
Lonzo should set three goals going into this season which include improving his free throw shooting, improve his shooting form, and tighten up his defense to become a great two-way player. Ball will be well on his way to rookie of the year if he can fine tune the following areas of his game. Let’s take a closer look at these three goals:
