This year’s Los Angeles Lakers Summer League squad will include a bevy of talented, young players.
The Los Angeles Lakers have yet to announce and/or confirm their official 2017 Las Vegas Summer League roster. Nevertheless, the obvious participants are unofficially on board.
You can expect the Lakers latest franchise cornerstone, No. 2 overall pick, Lonzo Ball. Alongside him should be last year’s second round pick, Ivica Zubac (32nd Pick, 16′ Draft) and the 2nd overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft, Brandon Ingram.
They should also be joined by David Nwaba (Undrafted), Kyle Kuzma (27th Pick, 17′ Draft), Josh Hart (30th Pick, 17′ Draft) and Thomas Bryant (42nd Pick, 17′ Draft).

The talent is undeniable, and from the perspective of a basketball fanatic, this roster is heavenly. I will be attending the first two days of the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, and I am incredibly excited to see what this particular group of players will showcase on the highly anticipated opening weekend.
With Ball’s skeptics from across the sports world, the pressure is unquestionably on the former UCLA star. Will Ball’s unorthodox shot translate to the NBA game efficiently?
Truthfully, I believe so. Do I have to bring up Shawn Marion? Although, not the greatest shooter, the man could still shoot, putting up several above average percentages from beyond the arc throughout his 18-year career.

However, Ball’s priority is not to shoot; it’s to lead and make every player around him better. Most critics speak upon Ball as if they were speaking up upon his father. You must differentiate the two personalities and understand this kid worked immensely hard to become a bonafide top selection.
With that being said, this year’s Summer League squad will blossom due to the array of weapons across the roster.

I’m expecting Ball’s passing ability to be on full display as well as Zubac and Ingram’s improvement flourishing throughout each exhibition.
