Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant might have retired from the NBA, but could he be talked into playing in the new Big 3 League?
With the NBA offseason in full swing for the Los Angeles Lakers and the rest of the league, there has been a fun new league that has started this summer. With Ice Cube doing a great job promoting it, the Big 3 League has caught the eye of many fans.
Having former stars like Allen Iverson and Kenyon Martin leading the way, the Big 3 league has the star power needed to gain the interest of fans. With great players like Iverson on the court, it has resulted in other former stars looking to get out there.
Recently Paul Pierce expressed an interest in possibly playing next season. Pierce just recently retired after finishing up his career with the Los Angeles Clippers. Prior to that, Pierce was a star for the Boston Celtics.
When Pierce was interviewed, the players that he would like to play with certainly dropped some jaws. Pierce hinted at joining forces with his former teammate Kevin Garnett, and their rival Kobe Bryant.
Seeing Pierce hint at a team of Bryant, Garnett, and himself is certainly exciting. In the post-Michael Jordan era, these three were some of the best in the NBA. Also, they are all future Hall-of-Famers.
Considering that they all haven’t retired that long ago, they would likely still be able to play at a fairly high level. One of the coolest things about the Big 3 league is seeing players like Bryant and Pierce team up.
