Both Lonzo Ball and Kyle Kuzma will play tonight against the Philadelphia 76ers in the Las Vegas Summer League.

The Los Angeles Lakers have suffered multiple injuries so far in the Las Vegas Summer League. But, recent Lakers news is positive in regards to those injuries.

Point guard Lonzo Ball (sore right groin) and power forward Kyle Kuzma (cramps) will return tonight for the Lakers after being re-evaluated by the team today.

Both Josh Hart (strained right ankle) and Brandon Ingram (held out due to cramps) will still be out. PJ Dozier (strained left ankle) will also miss tonight’s game after injuring his ankle playing against the Kings.

Spectrum SportsNets Lakers reporter Mike Trudell shared the information on his Twitter account.

Ball and Kuzma will look to add to the strong performances they put up in the loss versus the Boston Celtics on Saturday, July 8. After a poor first performance, Ball put up a triple-double with 11 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists. Kuzma scored a game-high 31 points and grabbed nine rebounds.

Tonight, both of them will return for the Lakers as they play in the first round of the Summer League playoffs versus the Philadelphia 76ers at 7:30 PT.

Four players missed the game on Monday in the Lakers’ victory versus the Sacramento Kings. In that game, Vander Blue and Alex Caruso stepped up for the Lakers and lead the team to its first win in the Summer League.

While Ball is returning, the awaited matchup of Ball vs. Fultz will have to wait. Markelle Fultz suffered an ankle injury playing against the Golden State Warriors on Saturday, July 8.

The 76ers reported that Fultz suffered a “lateral ankle sprain” and he will miss the rest of the Summer League. As disappointing as it is, the number one versus number two matchup will have to wait for now.
