January 22nd, 2016 vs Toronto Raptors

This game ended with Kobe scoring the 2nd most points of all time in a single game. Wilt Chamberlain, of course, holds the record with 100 points scored back in 1962. On this night against the Raptors, Kobe was truly un-guard-able.

Kobe finished his historic night with 81 points, six rebounds, three steals, two assists, and one block. 55 of the 81 points came in the second half, which helped erase an 18-point deficit against the Raptors. His 60.3 percent shooting on the night made this offensive explosion that more impressive.

He shot 28-of-46 from the floor, including 7-of-13 from deep, and 18-of-20 from the charity stripe. This game will always be remembered and goes to show how special Kobe Bryant really was. Coaches would trust him to shoot 40-plus times on any given night.

On what was a historical night for the NBA, Bryant scorched the Raptors defense all night long. It’s only fitting that Kobe sits second all time in most points scored in a game. A number that most likely won’t be surpassed again.
