The Los Angeles Lakers have a special rookie in Lonzo Ball. After a strong Summer League performance, Ball has a good rating in the upcoming NBA 2K18 video game.

After winning the Summer League MVP, there is going to be a lot of hype surrounding Los Angeles Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball next season.

With the second overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, the Lakers look like they have drafted a player with a lot of potential in Ball. Coming out of UCLA, we knew Ball was going to be a very good floor general. Passing was certainly Ball’s best trait in college and will translate rather easily into the NBA.

While we all knew he could be a great floor general, Ball does a lot of other things that may have gone unnoticed in his college career. His unselfishness certainly rubbed off on his teammates, and the Lakers had some excellent ball movement in the Summer League. In addition to his abilities as a point guard, Ball also showed a knack for being a great rebounder.

Ball totaled two triple-doubles in the Summer League, which highlighted his ability to fill up a stat sheet. While the triple-doubles received a lot of attention, Ball was also able to total 36 points in a game as well.

Even though Ball wasn’t the first rookie selected in the NBA Draft, he has certainly earned the respect of the developers at 2K. Ball was tied with Markelle Fultz of the Philadelphia 76ers for being the highest rated rookies in the game.

Both Ball and Fultz will be coming into the season with 80 ratings. For those who might not be familiar with the game, this is a pretty solid grade for a rookie.

We will have to wait and see if Ball can live up to the high rating he received in 2K, but it will be certainly a lot of fun to play with him and the Lakers in the game this coming season.
