Recent Lakers rumors have been about the possibility of Lonzo Ball signing with a major shoe brand. Will teammate Brandon Ingram try to recruit him to Adidas?

With the NBA entering its dead time, recent Lakers rumors have been about what the future might hold for Lonzo Ball. Before being drafted, Ball and his family unveiled his first signature show as part of the Big Baller Brand.

Thanks to his father, Lavar Ball, Lonzo was able to do have a part in his family’s brand of shoes and clothes. For a player that has never played in an NBA game yet, having his own brand is certainly something new.

Lonzo’s first shoe is being retailed for nearly $500, which is, of course, quite expensive. With all eyes being on Ball in the Summer League, it was his shoes that became a subplot. In his first game, Ball was sporting his own shoe. However, after that, he began to switch it up. Ball used shoes from the major brands, which could have been him showcasing the attention that he would bring to one of the major shoe brands if they signed him.

Ball ended up having a great Summer League performance. He was able to total two triple-doubles, and he also dropped 36 points in a game. The strong performance has certainly raised expectations for Ball this coming season, but it has also likely caught the eye of the major shoe brands.

As a must-see product, Ball would certainly be valuable for shoe brands to have. Recently, Brandon Ingram spoke to Ben Golliver of SI.com. In the interview, he said that he would have no problem recruiting Ball to Adidas if they asked him too.

"Although Ingram said that he generally doesn’t talk sneakers with Lonzo, the second-year forward added that he would be happy to pitch his new Lakers teammate on Adidas if the company asked him."

With a few months before the season starts, it will be interesting to see if Ball does indeed sign with a major shoe company. If that does happen, we know that the price to sign Ball will certainly be high.
