Recently, Robin Lundberg of SI called Kobe Bryant one of the most overrated players of all-time. After such a bold statement, we polled Los Angeles Lakers and NBA fans to see what they thought.

Even though Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant is retired from the game, his name has recently popped up in the news recently. Bold comments by Robin Lundberg of SI have caused quite the stir about the legacy of Bryant.

One of the great debates in sports is where Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant falls among the greats of the game. With five rings, Bryant has had the team success that many look for when they are naming the greats of the game.

While Bryant does fall short of Michael Jordan and his six rings, his five are certainly very impressive on his resume. In addition to the five rings, Bryant has also been named to 18 All-Star Games.

Scoring is something that many have always associated with Bryant, as he is a two-time NBA scoring champion. However, he was also an excellent defensive player. With 12 all-defensive teams on his resume, Bryant was one of the best two-way players in the NBA during his time.

Seeing these comments by Lundberg is rather shocking. Bryant is generally considered to be one of the best players of all-time, and that doesn’t fall into the overrated category that Lundberg has placed him in.

Prior to the comments made by Lundberg, Michael Jordan recently said that Bryant was still above LeBron James in his all-time ranking. We recently polled the fans to see what their reactions were to this statement. Here were the results:

As you can see, most believed that Lundberg was way off with the bold statement. While Bryant did have a tough end to his career with injuries, there is still no denying what he was able to accomplish in the NBA.
