– One of the best in the country

Even though Hart was never considered to be a top prospect in the NBA Draft, he was a player that had his name mentioned with some of those players in college last season. Last season, Villanova was the No.1 ranked team in the country, and Hart was the best player on that team.

His great senior season resulted in him being named a Wooden Award Finalist. Some of the names that also received this recognition were Lonzo Ball, Josh Jackson, Luke Kennard, Malik Monk, Dillon Brooks, Frank Mason, Caleb Swanigan, and Nigel Williams-Goss. The award eventually went to Mason of Kansas, as like Hart, the senior guard had a great season.

While Hart didn’t win the award, being mentioned with those players, some of who were high first round picks were certainly impressive. Even though players like Ball and Jackson will likely have better NBA careers than Hart, that doesn’t mean that Hart can’t play with them.

On a very good Villanova team, Hart was no stranger to being the No.1 priority for teams to stop. However, Hart was still able to average nearly 20 points per game last season, and that is a big number in a power conference. Time will tell on what type of career that Hart will have. However, if it’s anything like his college career, the Lakers will be very happy.
