3. The Real Opening Day

October 22 vs. New Orleans Pelicans

The game we have been waiting for since the draft. The first game of the season with our new full roster. KCP returns from suspension and the Lakers will be in full swing. This will be a fun game to watch.

The matchup is exciting because we get to see the young and run Lakers lineup against the Boogie and Brow lineup the Pelicans have. This is a game the Lakers can win at home and it will be the first glimpse at what this season will bring.

How will KCP mesh with Lonzo and Ingram? How will Lopez and Randle play together? Will the bench mob be as big as help as they were last season? All these questions will begin to be answered this night. Buckle up Lakers fans, the ride is about to begin.

In addition to the Lakers having their full squad, this could be an early indication of where the Lakers stand in the Western Conference. The Pelicans certainly have playoff hopes this season, and they can be used as a measuring stick for the Lakers early on.
