As the Los Angeles Lakers begin to turn their franchise around, a lot of pressure will be on point guard Lonzo Ball. After one season at UCLA, Ball is coming into the NBA with a lot of hype surrounding him.

In the Summer League, Ball certainly lived up to that hype by winning the Summer League MVP award. Now, Ball will try to be an important part of the team, as the Lakers try to make the playoffs this season.

Recently, NBA.com polled 39 rookies about various things about their fellow players in the draft. One of the questions was about which rookie would have the best career.

Along with Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics, Lonzo Ball came in first place with 18.4 percent of the vote. This is certainly high praise from his fellow rookies, as they believe Ball will accomplish great things.

Luckily for Ball, he will be entering a pretty good situation with the Lakers. Even though they have struggled in recent years, Luke Walton is a good young coach, who has had success as an assistant on the Golden State Warriors.

Also, the front office is very stable with Magic Johnson and Rob Pelinka now in charge. With a clear plan in mind, the Lakers appear to be heading in the right direction.

One of the things that can help Ball have a great career is certainly his ability to be a floor general. Johnson wanted the Lakers to have a leader on the court, and he believes that Ball is that guy.
