Portland Trail Blazers point guard, Damian Lillard, recently had a great exchange with a fan on Twitter about Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers.

Since retiring, there has certainly been a lot of activity from former Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant on social media. Recently, Bryant was challenging NBA players and other celebrities to reach goals as part of a marketing campaign.

Also, there was a huge debate about whether or not Kobe or LeBron James was a better player. This, of course, sparked a lot of different views depending on who you asked.

Recently, Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers had a great exchange with a fan about the greatness of Bryant. It is great to see athletes take the time out of their busy day to respond to fans on Twitter. Usually, the interaction is positive and enjoyable.

Lillard was asked about who he favorite player coming into the league was. He answered with James, but then said that he was infatuated with Kobe.

Seeing Lillard’s answer isn’t that surprising. As a young player, Bryant was certainly one of the most intense players in the NBA at the time. Coming from the end of the Jordan era, Bryant certainly adopted a similar mindset to win at all costs.

What was really entertaining was Lillard’s answer to a fan about him being better than Kobe.

Even though Lillard is a great player and one of the top point guards in the NBA, he has a long way to go before he can be considered better than Bryant. As one of the best two-way players of all-time, Bryant is in a class of his own.
