The Los Angeles Lakers hope that they have a future superstar in Lonzo Ball. So far, he is already training with some.

After being selected with the second overall pick by the Los Angeles Lakers, Lonzo Ball has wasted little time growing the hype surrounding him.

In the Las Vegas Summer League, Ball was clearly one of the best players in the entire tournament. He was able to record two triple-doubles, and also had a game with over 30 points. His strong showing in the Summer League resulted in Ball being named the tournament MVP.

Even though Ball has had some success quickly, he isn’t settling. This offseason, Ball has been working extremely hard to have a great rookie season. Recently, Ball spoke about two players that he has been working out with. Here’s what he had to say on the Marcellus and Kelvin Show on ESPN Radio via Trevor Lane of LakersNation.com

"“KD came up there to work out last week. I got to work out with him and that was cool. Him and Steve Nash,” Ball said."

Seeing Ball working out with both Kevin Durant and Steve Nash is great. Right now, Durant is one of the best players in NBA. Last season, Durant helped the Golden State Warriors win an NBA Championship, and he was named Finals MVP.

In addition to working out with Durant, working out with Steve Nash might be even more important for Ball. During his playing days, Nash was one of the best point guards in the NBA. Like Ball, Nash was a true floor general and also a great passer.

As still a very young player, Ball can learn a lot from both of these players. Durant is now a champion, which is something that Ball will certainly be aiming for in the years to come. Ball has been praised by many this offseason, and seeing him working extra with superstars will only help him get better.

With the season right around the corner, it will be exciting to see Ball leading the Lakers this coming season.
