The Los Angeles Lakers have a talented young rookie in Kyle Kuzma. One teammate has admitted to being hard on him.
In the 2017 NBA Draft, the Los Angeles Lakers were able to get a talented young player in Kyle Kuzma. Even though Kuzma was overlooked by many teams in the draft, the Lakers really liked him as a prospect.
Kuzma was able to make the Lakers look smart so far by having a great tournament in the Las Vegas Summer League. As one of the best players in the entire tournament, Kuzma showed an ability to score both inside and outside.
Now that training camp has started, some of his veteran teammates are pushing Kuzma to really reach his potential. One of the players that have been hard on him is Brandon Ingram.
Seeing Ingram being hard on Kuzma is a good sign that he is emerging as a leader on the team as well. Even though Ingram is just entering his second season, he is a player with a ton of potential and very well could be the face of the franchise in years to come.
On the court, Kuzma and Ingram are going to be matched up against each other. Even though Kuzma was considered to be only a power forward coming out of college. However, Kuzma showed in Las Vegas that he has the ability to play at the small forward position as well. As that is Ingram’s natural position, the two will surely be going head-to-head.
