The Los Angeles Lakers will be playing their first preseason game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. One player plans on being ultra aggressive.

On Saturday night, the Los Angeles Lakers will be playing their first preseason game against Minnesota Timberwolves. Like the Lakers, the Timberwolves have made a lot of changes this offseason.

With a few big offseason additions like Jimmy Butler and Jeff Teague, the Timberwolves are one of the teams in the Western Conference that are expecting to make the playoffs. Even though it is the preseason, this will be a good test for both teams, as there will be a lot of talented players on the court.

One player that is looking to make a statement is second-year forward Brandon Ingram. Last season, Ingram came on toward the end of the season, but his overall performance wasn’t spectacular for his rookie season.

In the offseason, Ingram has been focused on getting stronger and improving his jump shot. So far, the results look good for Ingram. Even though he only played in one game in the Las Vegas Summer League, he looked like the best player on the court.

With the Lakers kicking off the preseason against the Timberwolves, Ingram is focused on keeping the aggressive mentality that he used in the second half of last season.

If Ingram is able to perform like he did in the Summer League, the Lakers will have a budding star on their hands. Considering that Ingram is entering his second season, he should be able to take another step forward in his development.

While Ingram might not be able to reach the 20 points per game like Magic Johnson has predicted, he should be able to get into the mid-teens. Even though it is just the preseason, it is good to see that Ingram is looking to have a big game and make a statement early on.
