The Los Angeles Lakers lost to the Denver Nuggets in the second preseason game. However, they suffered a scare when Lonzo Ball rolled his ankle.

On Monday night, the Los Angeles Lakers lost their second preseason game to the Denver Nuggets by a score of 113-107. Despite the close final score, there were some ugly stretches in the game for the Lakers.

Early on, the Lakers were playing very well. They were able to push the pace and create easy scoring opporunties. However, the turnovers started to pile up, and the Nuggets with their talented offense were able to get the lead back rather quickly in the second quarter.

Just prior to halftime, the Lakers suffered a major scare. Lonzo Ball rolled his ankle with just a few seconds left in the half. He went to the bench and then was quickly taken back to the locker room.

To the surprise of many, Ball actually started the second half for the Lakers. Considering it was the preseason, many believed that the Lakers would be cautitous with Ball and keep him out. Despite starting the second half, Ball didn’t play much due to the Nuggets taking a big lead in the third and likely because of his ankle.

Ball ended up playing just 21 minutes, as he totaled eight points, four assists, two rebounds, and four turnovers.

The Lakers will be right back in action on Wednesday against the Nuggets again, and Ball isn’t ruling out the possibility of playing.

Considering the importance of Ball for the Lakers, the team will likely be extremely careful with him. If he does indeed play on Wednesday night, it would be a good indication that his ankle is close to 100 percent.
