On Wednesday, the Los Angeles Lakers will be facing the Wahington Wizards. Here are three matchups to watch.

The Los Angeles Lakers will be playing host to the Washington Wizards on Wednesday in what should be an exciting matchup. The Wizards are 3-0 so far this season and are looking to be one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference once again this season.

With a great backcourt that consists of John Wall and Bradley Beal, few teams are able to match up with this talented duo. For the Lakers, they will be trying to get back to the .500 mark. In their last game, the Lakers saw themselves down over 20 points only to come all the way back to take the lead in the fourth quarter.

The Lakers might have exerted too much energy into the comeback, as they ended up struggling in the final two minutes. The Pelicans were able to retake their lead and the Lakers fell to 2-1.

While we only see the Lakers and Wizards play twice a season, this matchup got a little extra added juice because of comments made by Marcin Gortat on Twitter. Lonzo Ball has taken a lot of heat only three games into his pro career, and he likely will continue too as the season goes on.

The Lakers would surely like to get back to .500, and hosting an Eastern Conference team is certainly an advantage for them. Even though the Wizards are good, West Coast trips can always be a problem for teams from the East. With that being said, here are three matchups to watch in what should be an entertaining game on Wednesday night.
