After a thrilling victory against the Washington Wizards, the Los Angeles Lakers were unable to make it two in a row. Here are three takeaways from their loss to the Toronto Raptors.

On Friday night, the Los Angeles Lakers were unable to make it two straight wins, as they lost to a good Toronto Raptors team.

Things started out very well for the Lakers on Friday night. They were able to establish a double-digit lead rather quickly against the Raptors. Things started for the Lakers on the defensive end of the court. They were able to use their length to get into the passing lanes and create turnovers. Out in transition on offense, the Lakers are very good as we’ve seen and they were able to get the lead early.

Unfortunately for the Lakers, the Raptors were able to make some in-game adjustments on both sides of the ball and the Lakers had no answer. Due to some of the struggles of the starting lineup in this game, Luke Walton relied on his bench quite a bit.

The loss to the Raptors isn’t an awful thing for the Lakers, as they are still a young team that is going to have ups and down this season. Even though the Raptors have some more youth this season, their core is full of proven veterans that have had postseason success. While the win against the Wizards was great, those type of wins aren’t going to be a common thing for the Lakers at this point of the season.

With the Lakers now 2-3 on the season, they will be preparing for the Utah Jazz on a back to back. However, here are three takeaways from the loss to the Raptors.
