The Los Angeles Lakers were able to play arguably their best game of the season against the Detroit Pistons. Overall, it was a near perfect game.
On Halloween, the Los Angeles Lakers were able to play a great game against the Detroit Pistons to earn their third win of the season. After a few losses in a row, the Lakers were able to bounce back against a good Pistons team.
Detroit came into this game with a 5-2 record and an impressive win over the Golden State Warriors. Despite playing very well on their West Coast road trip, the Pistons were outmatched against the Lakers in this game.
The Lakers were able to jump out to a double-digit lead early, and they never looked back. Struggles on the offensive end have been well-documented in recent days, but this was a very crisp game for the Lakers offensively in this one.
In the win, the Lakers ended up scoring 113 points, as they were able to get out in transition, play well in the half-court, and also shoot 3-pointers. As a team, the Lakers shot 49.5 percent from the field and 46.2 percent from three-point range.
Seeing the Lakers shooting the ball efficiently was certainly a welcomed sight. Los Angeles was able to have six players score in double-figures, as it was a well-balanced attack in the win. Once again, it was the combination of Kyle Kuzma and Julius Randle off the bench that really helped the Lakers on offense.
Randle and Kuzma were able to combine for 33 points off the bench, and they only missed four shots combined. Kuzma was one of the reasons why the Lakers had a good day from beyond the arc, as he went a perfect 4-for-4 from deep.
While the scoring boost from the bench is always welcomed, the starters played much better in this game too. Getting points from the starting unit has surprisingly been an issue this season, but it wasn’t on Halloween.

Next up for the Lakers will be another game on National television, as they will be Portland Trail Blazers on TNT. Hopefully, the Lakers can play like they did against the Pistons on Thursday night.
