In a showdown of young teams, the Los Angeles Lakers failed to come out on top. Los Angeles loses its third consecutive game in a loss to the Milwaukee Bucks.

After losing to the Washington Wizards on Thursday, the Los Angeles Lakers looked to find a win against the Milwaukee Bucks. Unfortunately, the team’s woes continued as they lost their third consecutive game. Moreover, they have now gone winless on its road stretch.

Although the loss was disappointing, the game was competitive till the end. The Bucks were led by their superstar, Giannis Antetokounmpo, who finished the evening with 33 points and 15 rebounds on an outstanding 63.2 percent shooting from the field. Conversely, for the Lakers, Lonzo Ball was the go-to player and finished with a triple-double on a rare 58.3 shooting night.

Aside from Ball and Giannis, the teams struggled mightily to convert from the field. Both teams missed many easy baskets and failed to connect strongly from deep. The Lakers ended the night shooting 41.9 percent from the floor and 27.3 percent from deep. Similarly, the Bucks shot 40.7 percent from the floor and 26.1 percent from three.

The Lakers finish their road trip on Monday as they take on the Phoenix Suns at the Talking Stick Resort Arena. Before we get there, however, let’s take a look at some takeaways from last night’s game.
