PHOENIX, AZ - NOVEMBER 13: Corey Brewer

The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Phoenix Suns 100-93 at Talking Stick Resort Arena on Monday Night.

The Los Angeles Lakers road trip, and losing streak, both ended tonight. Los Angeles was able to knock off the Phoenix Suns 100-93, snapping their three-game losing streak in the process. It is already the second time this season that the Lakers have defeated the Suns on their home court.

Tonight, it was the defense that got the job done for the Lakers. The 93 points they surrendered is the least points they have allowed thus far this season. The 100 points scored are also the fewest points scored in a victory this season.

Leading the way tonight for the Lakers was Jordan Clarkson. He poured in a season-high 25 points off the bench, shooting an impressive 11-of-19 from the field. He also added three three-pointers on the evening. Clarkson rounded out his night with three assists, three steals and one steal. Most impressive, arguably, is that he didn’t turn the ball over once.

In addition to Clarkson, the Lakers got a spark from Corey Brewer off the bench. Brewer scored 13 points in 18 minutes, adding one rebound and one steal.

After strong games against the Suns in the first meeting of the season, Lonzo Ball and Brandon Ingram struggled tonight. Ingram has now had three underwhelming shooting games in a row, making fewer than 38 percent of his shots for a third consecutive game.

Ball came into tonight off his best game as a professional but was quiet. He made only 3-of-10 from the field for seven points, adding five rebounds, five assists and two steals.

The rest of the starting lineup had good games. Brook Lopez recorded his third double-double of the season, scoring 15 points with 10 rebounds. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope stuffed the stat sheet, scoring 15 points with nine rebounds, three assists and two steals. Kyle Kuzma scored 11 points with six rebounds and two assists as he continues to fill in well for Larry Nance Jr.

For the Suns, three players led the way. Devin Booker poured in a season-high 36 points. T.J. Warren scored 23, while Dragan Bender scored 15 off the bench.

Overall, it was a struggle for the Suns to score the ball. They shot 38.9 percent from the field and 26.9 percent from three-point land.
