The Los Angeles Lakers will host the Philadelphia 76ers on November 15th, 2017. Here is all the information you need to watch and listen to the game!
The Los Angeles Lakers are returning home off their first road trip of the season. The road trip wasn’t a great one, as the Lakers went 1-3, dropping their overall record to 6-8. However, they did defeat the Phoenix Suns in the finale, so they are heading back home with some momentum.
They will look to start a winning streak and get their four-game homestand off on the right foot as they host the Philadelphia 76ers. Tonight will be the finale of the 76ers five-game road trip, as they come into this game 2-2 on the trip and 7-6 overall. They will be motivated to finish the road trip with a winning record and head back to Philadelphia on a two-game winning streak.
A lot of the attention in tonight’s game will be in the backcourt. This will be the first time that rookies Lonzo Ball and Ben Simmons face off. Coming into the season, Ball and Simmons were looked at as the frontrunners for the Rookie of the Year award. So far, Simmons is running away with it.
Simmons is having a monster season. He is averaging 17.8 points, 9.2 rebounds, 7.5 assists and 1.7 steals per game. Despite standing 6-feet-10 inches tall, Simmons is a point guard. Ball will have a size advantage on most nights, but tonight will not be one of them.

If the Lakers are going to defeat the 76ers, their perimeter defense will have to be on point. Simmons is surrounded by shooters, as J.J. Redick, Robert Covington and Dario Saric. Even Joel Embiid can step out and knock some shots down from the perimeter, but Covington is the player to keep an eye on.
Covington is knocking down 3-pointers at a 50 percent clip. That is not a typo. Covington is knocking down every other 3-pointer he attempts, and he is not shy attempting 7.4 3-pointers per game.
The Lakers defense will have to be on point if they are going to slow down a talented and rising 76ers squad. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope will play a key role on the perimeter, the question is, who will he be tasked with defending?
