Los Angeles Lakers Report Card: First Quarter Player Grades
December is already upon the City of Angels. The first quarter of the Los Angeles Lakers season has indeed been one of many ups and downs. At 8-13, where does each Laker stand upon the beginning of the 2017-18 campaign?
The Los Angeles Lakers were once above the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference. Shocking right? The purple and gold revamped their entire roster during the off-season through the draft and trade.
Los Angeles currently sits near the bottom of the Western Conference at 11th. Even with an 8-13 record, the Lakers have exceeded expectations.
I will grade each Laker based on their previous performances over the last 21 games. The grading basis is on their impact and statistical lines.
Here is the system for the grading.
- Not Enough Data/Gameplay | I or N/A
- Poor/Unacceptable Performance | F
- Below Average/Needs to Improve Performance | D-, D, D+
- Average Performance | C-, C, C+
- Above Average/Great Performance | B-, B, B+
- Exceeded Expectations/Fantastic Performance | A-, A, A+
Disclaimer: I will score each player based on their past 21 games. I will also track the cumulative grade throughout every break in the season.
