The Los Angeles Lakers had their mini two-game winning streak snapped on Tuesday night, as the New York Knicks were able to beat them in overtime. This turned out to be one of the most exciting games of the season, as the Garden crowd was into it from the start.

During a stretch in the third quarter, we saw both teams exchanging baskets at a rapid pace, and it really got the building electrified. Unfortunately for the Lakers, the Knicks were able to secure the win on their home court in the extra frame.

The Knicks have been a very good team at MSG this season, and tonight was no different. As the 4th quarter came to a close, the Lakers were able to make some big stops late and then Kyle Kuzma hit a clutch three-pointer that eventually sent the game into overtime.

Overall, there were a lot of positives for the Lakers despite losing this one. As a young team, the Lakers did not seem to be rattled at all by one of the best arenas in basketball. This goes to show the poise of some of these young players that the Lakers have drafted in recent years.

While a win would have been nice to secure a winning road trip, the Lakers will still be able to accomplish that in there next game. With Tuesday being one of the most exciting games of the season, here are four takeaways from the loss.
