LOS ANGELES, CA – NOVEMBER 27: Lonzo Ball (Andrew D. Bernstein/Getty Images) /

Lonzo’s Here

As Laker fans watched Kobe Bryant’s jerseys go up in the rafters they realized that that era was officially closed. It was a great ceremony filled with tons of celebrities and smiles, but it was time to flip the page to a new chapter. For L.A., that chapter begins with Lonzo Ball.

Lonzo has played fairly well his rookie year, but his shooting percentage and form have become a glaring concern. Fortunately, however, the rookie has begun to change course in recent games.

In his last five games, Zo has only scored in single-digits once and has shot 46.2 percent from the floor and 38.5 percent from deep. Moreover, he has scored three triples in each of his last three games. Against the Warriors, the Big Baller finished with 16 points, six rebounds, and six assists while shooting 50 percent from the floor and from deep.

As the season continues, Lonzo should get better and show glimpses of the star we hope for him to be. Before that big picture, however, let’s hope that the team can pull out a win against the Houston Rockets on Wednesday.
