The Los Angeles Lakers are an abysmal 1-9 in their last 10 games. Though stricken by injuries, the passion behind their play is evidently staggering.

Following a 133-96 blow-out loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, the effort the Los Angeles Lakers put forth was undoubtedly in question.

Coach Luke Walton expressed his concern during the post-game press conference:

"Our fans deserve better than that and our organization deserves better than that."

However, many believe Walton’s rotations may also be to blame. Are the Lakers players still buying into Walton’s system?

That is a question I cannot answer, though I can say a culture change is essential for this team to find true success.

The Lakers front office must come to terms with who stays and who doesn’t.

From an outsider looking in, I believe no player is safe from the trade deadline aside from Lonzo Ball and potential Rookie of the Year Kyle Kuzma, whom currently leads the team in scoring with 17.5 points per game.

The Lakers were initially looked upon as a team that could possibly sneak into the playoffs. Though that possibility may be down the drain, this roster is far more talented than their current record of 11-26 states. However, it is not working due to inconsistencies from the players and coaching staff.

Magic Johnson and Rob Pelinka must swing for the fences this upcoming trade deadline and attempt to land a proverbial superstar that the Lakers so desperately need. No time to sugarcoat the absolute truth.

I’m sure plenty of discussions are and have been taking place for this organization to take the next step forward.

However, until then we must patiently wait in hopes that the Lakers finally find their rhythm collectively.
