Recent Lakers rumors are that Larry Nance Jr. is the latest member of the team to be on the trading block.

With the NBA Trade Deadline approaching, there have been plenty of Lakers rumors about who will be traded. Since the Lakers are not going to be competing for a playoff spot this season, that has made them a very popular choice to be sellers in the next month.

Even though the Lakers haven’t had much success with getting wins this season, there is still a good amount of talent on the team. Also, that talent is mostly young. Recently, it was reported that both Julius Randle and Jordan Clarkson would be available if teams wanted to pursue them.

This didn’t come as too much of a surprise, as both have value and the Lakers are trying to position themselves with as much cap room as possible for next offseason. In addition to those two, it now appears that Larry Nance Jr. is also on the trading block. Recently, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.com wrote about the Lakers looking to move Nance.

"The Los Angeles Lakers, needing to shed salary for summer free agency, had been hopeful of waiting until the end of the season to move Jordan Clarkson — owed $26 million beyond this season — but there’s a mutual desire to find something sooner than later. The Lakers have made it clear that Clarkson, Julius Randle and Larry Nance are available."

This season, Nance has played well for the Lakers. When he is on the court, he provides the team with a lot of energy as a great rebounder and dunker. Unfortunately, he does have some limitations on both the offensive and defensive end of the court.

As mostly a starter this season, Nance has averaged 21.5 minutes, 8.4 points and 6.4 rebounds per game. When he is on the court, Nance certainly produces for the Lakers, but he is part of the logjam that they have at the power forward position.

Nance is a former first-round pick of the Lakers and will be under contract at just over $2 million for next season. As a productive player with still a year left on his contract, he will certainly have some value on the trade market.

Since the Lakers are going to be trying to move the contract of Luol Deng, pairing up young players like Clarkson, Nance, and Randle. However, that still seems unlikely. With the trade deadline about a month away, there are going to be a ton of rumors surrounding the Lakers.
