The Los Angeles Lakers were able to extend their winning streak to three games with a win against the Boston Celtics. Here are three players who stepped up in the game.

Despite injuries to both Lonzo Ball and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope recently, the Los Angeles Lakers find themselves on a three-game winning streak. After suffering an achillies injury a few games ago, Caldwell-Pope was able to make his return to the lineup against the Boston Celtics, and the Lakers were able to extend their winning streak up to three games.

As one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference, it was one of the better wins of the season for the Lakers, as they were able to defeat their long-time rival. Even though the Lakers won the game, it certainly did not come easy.

To start, the Lakers’ starting five played very poorly. Luke Walton elected to go to his bench early and he stuck with them mostly late in the second quarter. The bench was able to provide the Lakers will a scoring spark, and they certainly needed it after the poor first quarter.

As the Lakers were able to get the lead, the late-game free throw issues became a problem once again. Larry Nance Jr., Josh Hart, and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope all missed free throws down the stretch, and they left the Celtics with a chance to win it at the end. Luckily, Marcus Smart was unable to connect as the buzzer sounded.

Now that the Lakers are on a three-game winning streak, here are three players who stepped up in the win against the Celtics.
