The Los Angeles Lakers just wrapped up a five-game road trip with a victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday afternoon. The five-game road trip was the longest one the Lakers have this season, and things went pretty well.
Despite their struggles away from the STAPLES Center, the Lakers played well on their latest road trip, going 3-2. Defeating the Thunder in the finale of the road trip made up for the embarrassing loss the Lakers took at the hands of the shorthanded Orlando Magic.
With the success found on the road trip, the Lakers have won 10 of their last 14 games. It has kept their playoff hopes, no matter how slim, alive. The Lakers are playing their best basketball of the season and are beginning to find their groove, growing up right before our eyes.
Los Angeles has five more games before the All-Star break, and are building some momentum. For a young team like the Lakers, getting a few wins under their belts is important for team morale and confidence.
