On Monday night, the Los Angeles Lakers were able to win their third straight game. In the win, Julius Randle continued to play well.
Since the All-Star break, the Los Angeles Lakers have won three straight games. After stumbling into the break, the Lakers have played much better since the break. Even though the opponents haven’t been the best, the Lakers are handling their business.
One of the players that have really performed well for the Lakers has been Julius Randle. Starting against the Dallas Mavericks, Randle was able to record his first triple-double of the season with 18 points 13 rebounds, and 10 assists. Considering Randle plays most of his minutes at power forward and center, this was extremely impressive.
The following game against the Sacramento Kings, Randle was able to record his second straight double-double. In the win, Randle totaled 12 points and 13 rebounds. The only flaw for Randle in that game was the fact that he went 0-for-5 from the free throw line.
On Monday, Randle was able to make it three straight games with a double-double, as he totaled 19 points and 10 rebounds in 30 minutes. The double-double streak for Randle is very impressive considering that he rarely logs much more than 30 minutes per game. When on the court, Randle is constantly working, and there are few players that bring as much effort as him.
In his last five games, Randle is averaging a double-double with 18.4 points and 10.0 points per game. In those games, Randle is shooting very efficiently from the field, as he hasn’t had a game below 50 percent shooting from the field.
Despite not being a starter at the beginning of the season, and hearing plenty of trade rumors, Randle has had a great season for the Lakers. With his contract situation being a big question mark this offseason, Randle is showing the Lakers and all the other teams in the NBA what he is worth.
